I only started reading Myrren's gift last week, but I have to say I loved it from the start and could stop talking about the book to all my family and friends. I usually read sci fi books but have in the past read selected fantasy authors such Terry Pratchett, Guy Kavial Kay, Maggie Fury. I also like Frank Herbert, Robert A Heinlein and HG Wells and Harry Turtledove. I wanted to try new authors recently so I tried Fiona McIntosh and must say I was addicted from the first page, the story is so fun and the leading charcters so likeable. I already got the sequal and know got to get the third book.  ,

Hey there MCV! thank you for dropping by the board and for your kind words about Myrren's Gift - very glad you enjoyed it and I'm now hopeful that you get as much pleasure from Blood and Memory, although it is rather a harrowing part of the tale. Hope you enjoyed a great Christmas and happy new year - visit often! F
