In Blood and Memories, when Elspyth is travelling with the family of merchants, I think it is, from Briavel, they have a discussion about bees that were introduced to an island and are now the only pure strain of those bees left in the world. Is that at all based on the Ligurian bees ,on Kangaroo Island?

Also, I have to say that (at the moment at least) this is my favourite series of all time. I have to thank my friends for giving me the books for my birthday, ,and come along with them to the book club.

Hello Mieka Yes, indeed, based on our very own KI bees. Just a small item most would miss but all these little titbits add to the layers of the story and I'm pleased you noticed. They were called Magurian in the book, if my memory serves me....please forgive I'm deep into Percheron. I love knowing that this series is so special for you - thank you for sharing that with me. I do hope Percheron will sometime bring as much pleasure to your reading. Bye for now. F
