First off I would like to tell you how much I enjoyed the first book very much. I went through it in about a day and a half, after which I went though i mind dizzing 5 days trying to find a copy of Blood and Memory. To which i decied to wait, and then it sliped my mind for a few months(sorry) and i moved on but it was still on my list of things to read. I got a hold of a copy the other day, and im more then half way thourgh loving every bit. I read a lot of fantasy and your books are in the two three right now, in with Robert Jordan and George RR Martin, errr maybe top 4 i forgot jim butcher. But what im really amazed at is your attion to your readers and the people that post on the fourms, so amazed in fact that im actully posting my self with doesnt that much. I cant wait to get the third book, and until your old and new stuff get released in the states. Please continue to write these amazing books. Oh and from the web page you traval alot that fantastic, i to love to travel even though im only 23, im going to japan again for the second time this next spring.

Hey there DD - nice to have you amongst us and thanks so, so much for sticking with The Quickening and enjoying it. It's very easy to get distracted when there's so much on offer in the fantasy range but I feel exceptionally privileged to be mentioned among Jordan and GRRM...thank you. I shall be in the U.S. again in November - San Francisco and Texas if that's of any use to you in terms of getting your books signed or simply to say hello. Otherwise I know I'll be In New York for WFC next year. Happy travels - go safely and happy reading...hope Bridge of Souls, book 3, delivers! Bye for now - F

That's great, Dustin. I've just realised it's Halloween on the day I arrive so that might make it difficult for any store to organise an event but I shall certainly be in there for a signing, if not a formal presentation of sorts. I'll keep you posted - very glad you're enjoying the story. Talk soon. F

Now now Fiona, with your books full of witches, warlocks and other such magical beings, Halloween would be an ideal day for a McIntosh signing. And, if you hold it the day you arrive, your attitude might just be appropriate:) Phil

I couldn't agree more, Phil, but I don't think the stores are keen on organising much with authors on Halloween day or night. Pity.
