Fiona x

Did any of that French make sense? I have hideous schoolgirl French at my disposal which helped me to understand your original note and then I relied on a translator to respond. I thought afterwards - what if it's all gibberish! I haven't heard back from the publisher about books 2 and 3 yet but I imagine Blood and Memory by june 2007, if not sooner. Fingers crossed. F

I don't speak or read French, and I understand you perfectly. I feel your pain; I'm sure that Fiona can update you on the release date for the third book. Or perhaps you can ask your bookseller....they should know. Keep reading, Phil

Hi Calibhaan I wish I could reply i perfect French, please forgive. Le Sang has only recently published so I imagine it will be December for the final tome. I hope so. I will check for you. It's awful to wait, I know. I shall be in Paris talking to booksellers and meeting readers on Nov 9. This is in preparation for the launch of the Percheron saga in French translation. Thanks for trying the books and reading so fast! All best, F

Salut compatriotes Français,

C'est vrai, quel supplice d'attendre le 3eme volet de cette saga, je viens de dévorer le 2eme Tome et j'attends avec hâte le dernier chapitre...A mort Celimus !

Greetings Miss McIntosh,

What a wonderfull written book, I'm going to finish the "Blood and memory" tome, what a dark and sad epic chapter for our Hero Wyl Thyrsk and all people who cross his way...It's an hymn to the eternal war of good against and bad side.

Thank you for your imagination which touched my soul,

A French Fan,

ps: Death to Celimus !

Bonjour Tarabas, Welcome to Fiona's Forum. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying Fiona's work and I know that she will appreciate your support. Unfortunately, you have joined up just as Fiona has gone AWOL (absent without leave) for a week or two but I am sure she will pop in and say hello when she returns. Feel free to join in any of the other conversations that are going on around the place. Join in some the games that are on-going and generally have a good time. Hope to see you around. Ailsa

Hello Tarabas Wonderful to hear from you and so glad you're caught up in Wyl's tragic tale. Death to Celimus indeed! I think you're going to enjoy book 3 after the harrowing events in Le Sang! I have just returned from a very quick trip to Paris where I met my publishing team, booksellers and a host of fantastic readers that I had the pleasure of getting to know over a fun evening of good food, good wine and even better socialising. I will be back in 2009 - perhaps we shall meet then. A bientot! F

Bonjour chers compatriotes!!!

I would try in english, but my english is terrible lol

Spoiler alert: Highlight missing text below to read.  Ophidia, you've done nothing wrong, but let's let that be a surprise to any new readers of the trilogy.  Your friendly moderator, Phil

I finished The Quickening a couple month ago, and I find it wonderful! It's now one of my favorite series! Wyl is really a wonderful character, and it was a lot of fun when he became a woman, but also a lot of tears when he became some of my other favorite characters! The third book was full of surprises and for once I haven't anticipated the end : WOW!

Maybe I won't make friends with the rest of readers in saying this, but I loved Celimus! Or maybe I loved to hate him lol. But he really is a magnificent character!

I must admitt that it was difficult to finish the trilogy! I was so sad at the idea of never again travel with Wyl! I was a little bit depressed when I finished the trilogy

But I recently ordered le first book of the trinity and the percheron trilogy, and I can't wait to read them!

To finish, I don't know if it's the best place to ask, or if there is any topic on the subject, but if there is, I didn't find him, but I would like to know if it's autorised to creat a fan site on the work of Fiona. In France, we don't have any site on the subject, and I would like to creat a unofficial site with a forum to gather a french communty of fans of Fiona. If anyone know on the subject, thanks in advance for the answer!

Oh! I almost forgot!!! If Fiona read this, I would like to thank her for the wonderful evening in Paris with Bragelonne!!! I was there, and it was a pleasure to meet her! She is so sweet!!! Thanks for the dedicace and the one you did for my friend! I offered her the book one of the Quickening and she loved it! She is actually in the reading of book 3!

A little "souvenir"!

Hello Ophidia How lovely of you to post that pic. What a great night that was in Paris. I loved meeting you all. And yes of course you can go ahead and build the fansite. I've never had one of those and it's wonderful that France will be the first to do this. You have my blessing and I shall visit whenever you want me to! Thanks for enjoying the books so much and I believe Percheron will be next in translation in France and hopefully Valisar after that. And I shall be in France either late this year or early next. Will keep you all posted. See you again. Fx

Thank you so much Fiona for the reply!

I'm glad to hear that Percheron and maybe Valisar would be translated in French because I know it's not all the French readers who are capable of reading in english...

Me, I can't wait for the translation, I'm too impatient! I just started Betrayal, and I love it! I shall come again to talk about it in the adequat topic.

Thank you for the autorisation for the fansite! It's in progress, and I will keep you posted when I'll release it online. For now, I already created the forum which will be linked to the fansite. It's only a begining, but if you want to take a look it's here (P.S. : all my excuses again for my poor engish...):
