You have to have bad mean people in books to make the hero look good, all books have badies, it what makes the books interesting.

Goth was evil yes i agree with that, but he made the books great, he gave the hero something to do, he made the hero acheive his greatest potential.

You cant help but admire how evil he was and the fact that he just kept going is fantastic, if goth had been killed off in the first book, I dont think Tor would have been as good a hero or person he became.

So go the badies, and bring em on.:dance

I'm with you Jess......

I so wanted him to suffer the pain and suffering he gave to others.... and I just loved Saxton for what he did :dance - what wonderful justice!!!

Oh dear.. finding the temptation of re-reading the books so overwelming...

must resist, must resist....... There be Dragons awaits (as well as family, work, obligations, eating and sleeping :-) )

I am sure he has good table manners. Of course depends what artificial substances he has been taking.

Xantia is also one of my faves. I really liked her.

I have to say that having Goth for dinner would be very interesting, I mean don't you want to know what made him that way, what were his parents like and was he child that was picked on by the bullies in his villiage, you have to have some empathy for him, people are not born evil and yes i realise he was created to be evil, but still you have to wonder.<img src=kip">

If people had just been a little more nice to him who knows:crazy

I have to say, Goth was the nastiest, most evil piece of evilness I have come across in my time. He had no redeeming qualities at all, and gave everyone reason to detest him. Thus, he was the best villain I've seen.

As has been said on here before, you need a good villain to make the hero look good, and Goth simply oozed evil from every pore. For a mortal to be this nasty, ..... :x

So there you go. Well done Fiona, and keep the good work up ..
