Draco, talking to yourself isn't bad, it's when you start answering yourself!:

Um.... just to get back the the topic a bit here..... <img src=">

in regards to what happened with the Silver Maiden and young Locky...... I know that at the time Tor thought that it was Figgis that saved Locky... but when Tor later asked Figgis about it, Figgis himself told Tor that it was NOT himself who did it... are we to assume that it was in fact Juno then that did it?? Or was there some other 'supernatural' influence that I missed somewhere along the line... I don't think that question was satisfactorily answered....??? :help

Ah but Figgis was where the power came from, even if it wasn't his power he was using.

Ditto for me Jess, although I still say we were both correct, Figgis was responsible for the power (ie he was how it came in to this world) even if he wasn't the directing force behind it.

LOL we may just have to agree to disagree there about whether or not Figgis was responsible, after all, he himself said he didn't do it... only channelled the power... much like a hose attached to a garden tap channels the water <img src=hrug"> <img src=kippers">

Aha... I found it.... <img src="> I found the passage in Revenge which mentioned that Figgis himself had not stopped the Maiden....

It is the part where Figgis is tied up by those idiots in Duntaryn (?) and he is reflecting on events... if I may quote directly from the book - "Lys had told him that his magic would emerge as he needed it, but as yet he had felt nothing. He suspected that Torkyn Gynt had assumed itwas he, Figgis the Ninth, who had wielded the power that day to save the life of Locklyn Gylbyrt. But he had had no such enchanted powers at his disposal since re-emerging; he was merely the vessel through which a mightier power had been channelled. The Rock Dweller did not pretend to understand what had happened but he believed the magic had come from Lys, that she had used him as her conduit."

There!! :crazy <img src=">

What LTW and me mean is at the time- scene there is no way that we could not know that it was Figgis...

so in our minds it was figgis "tapping" the power.....but good on Lys all the same... i loved it when she stuck her nose in.......<img src=">

I never understood why Tor and Allysa hated her so much, apart from the whole screwing-up-their-entire-lives thing...
