Yes its true, I've been totured by living here in Melbourne, ohh well such as life I will press on and hopefully live by that...

I first found out about Betrayal by seeing an article in my local Messenger about Fiona with her book. At the time I'd just started to read Fantasy, after being completely fed up with Oprah's recommendations! 
My Dad brought home one of the Betrayal bookmarks from a bookshop, and then my neighbour gave me one as well! (Ok, so I have a big mouth about the things I like to read!"> ) I tried the library, and read the book in 2 days. I loved it!! I just wished that I could have read the 2nd book straight away.

When I saw Revenge on the shelf earlier this year, I had to buy it, and not only that, but my own copy of Betrayal as well. I decided to keep them until Destiny came out so that I could read the trilogy straight through, besides the fact that I was trying to read the Clan of the Cave Bear series at the same time.">
I was incredibly excited when Destiny came out, and had to have my own copy. (Imagine someone jumping up and down in a book store...ahem..!) I've just re-read Betrayal and read Revenge in the last 2 weeks, and am 1/3 way through Destiny.
My favourite thing about all of the books was the "mind speak" that was going on. The idea just fascinated me. I read Robin Hobb's Assassin's Apprentice and Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest at about the same time as Betrayal, and loved the fact that all of the books had mind speak in them!
I just wanted to say thanks for writing these books, Fiona. I read Betrayal when I was just getting into fantasy, and it certainly made me want to read more of this genre! It felt cool too knowing that you were in Adelaide and so was I! I just wish I knew about this website before your book signing! Never mind, the next time you do, I'll have 3 books ready and waiting.">

Betrayal, because it was my first book, was so much fun to write but the whole trilogy was - in spite of the hard work - a pleasure to craft and I tell you it sends tingles up and down my spine to hear from people like yourself who have given it a whirl and enjoyed it so much. I feel like I could press on and write through the whole night now!
Thank you. Thanks for reading it and then treating yourself to your own copies. I am really grateful and hope we can meet sometime soon so I can sign those books for you.
Come along to the next Fantasy Club Book Meet at Borders Bookstore in Rundle Mall, currently scheduled for October 7 but watch this space because that's a public holiday and may change. It's currently made up of great people from the board so you'll be amongst friends and fellow fantasy fans. I chair the gathering and we talk fantasy books. Otherwise, just hang here with the gang. Well welcome to the Heartwood, here are the forum rules. Just like the school dance the girls have to sit on that side of the room and the boys on this side. As a girl you need to peek demurely at the boys every once and a while, then flutter your eyelashes and turn away. The boys meanwhile will act all tuff with the other boys and push each other toward the girl side of the room to ask you to dance. Whatever you do don't say no, never refuse a boy a dance (its rude). When he slips his hand to low on your hips, slap him gently on the shoulder and tell him he is naughty (don't punch him in the nose as it detracts from his masculinity). At the end of the dance thank him nicely (even though he has nasty B O and halitosis) and walk swiftly back to your seat (and pray for a semi human to ask you next dance).
Oh and I forgot,,,,,Post well and prosper.....Oh and if you find out who swiped my medication please contact the relevant authorities.

Always glad to find another fan (Crusie, get another set of chains). We hope you stick around (soldier, clean off the Iron Maiden). You'll find we're really a pleasant bunch (SOMEONE keep Dragonemisis on his LEASH!). Ribbon comes form french (RUBAN) and old english (RIBBAN)... meaning Neck band or collar or ring circle......in German.
Maybe I should merely talk to Ribbon... the punishment is harsh... all we have to do is wait for the crime.
