Wouldn't miss it for the world. I'll be first in line - unless someone else beats me to it of course.

You are brilliant, thank you Snowy. So far Robinsons on the Mornington Peninsula have booked me for a Saturday morning and I'm still waiting to hear on Slowglass. Perhaps I can push myself onto one of these - will keep you posted.
Cheers for the help, F

Thanks BH - now I know I won't be lonely with only curious infants, hoping I tie balloons into animals and street performers to talk to. See you there. F

Ooohh, can you tie ballons into animals? I love that stuff. Could you do a Phoenix as it rises from the ashes?

Thanks Tvahlya - today I began seriously looking at options for Melbourne. I would like to do a signing at Slowglass Books and there is Robinsons which I think might be a way out but has been incredibly supportive. For sure Borders. I think sometime in August but will keep you posted.
Any other ideas from the Melbourne team gratefully received.

We should recognise you... you will be the one with the pen..haha.
Why don't we just say HI FIONA.... I am BIG HILLS?
No... if we all do that... then goodness you will think he has multiple personality disorder.. when in fact only I do.
Seriously, I am reading revenge as we speak... as you know i only bought you books about a week ago. They are really superb, and I so pleased you allowed me to join your little group here.
I for one will introduce myself... although I do like the idea of a secret word.
Or the Adelaide team could all meet at my office in the city and then we can all walk down the mall and buy or books together?
Then intoduce ourselves en masse?
Cheers

Thanks so much, Snowy. I "get" Sydney but never know where I am in Melbourne for some odd reason. I will take all the advice you can pass on re good bookshops. Do you ever frequent Slowglass?
I'm imagining it to be a little like Galaxy Books in Sydney. I promise I'm coming - perhaps I can tie it in with a match for the Crows in Victoria (grin!)

Borders Rundle Mall in Adelaide has confirmed it wants a signing on Friday, August 2 at 6pm. It has ordered in extra copies of Destiny and will get the books onto shelves earlier than most shops, I imagine. Would love to say hello in person - and thanks for reading my books - to any of you who can make it.

No need to kidnap - you're on for coffee after the event. I'm sure it will only be you guys anyway so it's a good chance for a meeting of the clan. We can stroll up to Rundle St? Good idea Obelixx - we have missed you and yes, look what's happened since we've been away! Brilliant eh?

Its just not fair no one comes to Canberra to do book signings and we're the capital (stamps foot petuantly)
Seriously Fiona good luck with the signing in Adelaide and if you ever do one in Sydney i would be there in a flash.

Hey Ambrai the reason no one goes to Canberra is that it is too cold for us regular folk.....try putting on some nice warm weather and you may get more visitors.......

fiona, i have been to slow glass books plenty of times, it is a speciality fantasy/sci-fi store with quite a large collection (u probably already know that!), though i believe minotaur on elizabeth street has a bigger collection yet, though minotaur has lots of other things that arent books, slow glass is great though! its right near the state library and melbourne central station, quite a few aussie writers have gone there, i think early this year is was cecilia dart-thornton, didnt get to that one though cos i was sick
yeah, there are lots of collins and a&r and dymocks in the city, anyone of those would be good
Yay! *claps hands* you're gonna come to melbourne!!
