How could anyone not be excited about your books?
Do you know that I've never been a trendsetter before? *struts around the office impressing workmates with new found status* Looking forward to reading chapter one but since I only have access through my work computer I'll have to wait until next week. NOTE: POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!
I lie, I'm back I'm up to the part where Nyria is hoping Lorys picks Alyssa for his next queen and I have a problem with this:-/ Isn't Alyssa still one of the untouchables of Caremboche??? Isn't that why Tor was executed???? Alyssa had the acolyte stone on at Tors execution but you haven't mentioned it in this novel!! Appologises if I'm nit picking, but Lorys CAN'T do what he executed Tor for!!!!!! <extreme indignation> MemberTotal Posts: 223 Last Online: 19th Apr 2004 16:34:00 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00

I bought Revenge today and discovered the address to this web site and have taken the time to read all of your postings and I'm soooooooo frustrated (and a little bit jealous!) You all keep mentioning characters that I've never even heard of eg Lauryn and Rubyn! So I've decided that I'm not coming back until I've read THE BOOK
ps: after reading some of your postings, me thinks if I want to keep my sanity my sanity I won't return at all MemberTotal Posts: 326 Last Online: 26th Mar 2008 00:12:24 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00
Well he is the King and the King can change the rules to suit himself.
*thinks back to "History of the World part 1" It's good to be the King!* Anyway I think a Welcome is due so : WELCOME Dragongal Post well and prosper. Check your sanity at the door but don't expect to find it on the way out. *insert eerie music* MemberTotal Posts: 35 Last Online: 16th Apr 2003 18:44:00 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00
Hi LisaHy, Hi Crusie
Thanks for the welcome I agree with you Crusie about the King changing the rulz to suit himself. Thats why I was so indignant. I hope I didn't give any body the wrong impression, Fiona, I REALLY LOVE YOUR BOOKS. I love books were I can getinto the lives of the characters and go on a great adventure with them. btw, you're done a marvelous job making Goth into an evil, evil man. He's the kind of villian I want to knock down and jump on and <bam>, <pow> <wham> and 'die you $^*&*&^%#$$^&&**(' ......... ummmmm .. what was I saying about sanity earlier??? PS can anyone tell me how to do those yellow faces that wink? #9 - 25th May 2002 22:20:00Forum ModeratorTotal Posts: 903 Last Online: 1st Jun 2004 21:40:00 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00
Aha - welcome Dragongal - we can tell you how to do winking smiley faces (used to drive me mad too until all the smarties at the board taught me how) but can't account for the whims of the King of Tallinor.
Now you're quite right of course to feel such indignation - how can the the King consider this when he has had Tor executed for same. Well first I think we have to understand that once lust fills a man's loins, there's no accounting for how he's going to act...isn't that right, Crusie? And the King's judgement was very clouded during that time due to meeting Alyssa. Part of him wanted to save Tor - and it could have been so easy - and he will suffer that guilt for the rest of his life. On the flip side, as you read on, you'll begin to understand that Nyria has obviously been petitioning for years to get this whole sentient thing dismissed. Although I don't make a big thing of it, that's another reason she hopes Alyssa might win him. And I don't want to spoil anything now but there's a letter and a meeting between King and Alyssa which might go a long way towards resolving your issue with this. See how you go. I took a very long time chewing over whether I could make that leap for Lorys and in book 3 you'll see that the whole punishment of sentients has never sat fully comfortably with him. He has gone along with Goth through ancient fear passed down through generations but his heart told him otherwise. Hope it works for you and thanks for enjoying them. And very, very glad you came back. Stay in touch - they're all very mad here so you will fit in nicely! Go to emoticons for all manner of helpful faces. #11 - 26th May 2002 20:32:00MemberTotal Posts: 682 Last Online: 5th Apr 2004 22:40:00 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00 MemberTotal Posts: 225 Last Online: 1st Sep 2008 22:41:45 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00
Welcome to the site Dragongal. Good to see you managed to drag some information out of Fiona regarding the next book.
Don't worry about losing your sanity. If you are strong and worship the all empowering chocolate bar you will keep your sanity. *glances around nervously, talks to the little blue rabbit at my feet and ambles away muttering something about going to the new elven coffee shop that has just opened up in the bottom of the garden* #15 - 26th May 2002 23:49:00Forum ModeratorTotal Posts: 903 Last Online: 1st Jun 2004 21:40:00 Registered: 14th May 2004 00:00:00
I could go a hot chocolate right now - this lemon tea I decided to try is revolting. Much too grown up for me.
Okay gang - I ge the hint....why don't I see if I can get permission to run chapter one of Destiny at the site? It's immiment anyway and I can't see the problem in getting some early promotion happening. I've already promised that the minute I get my hands on the cover I'm uploading it for the inner sanctum.
