I'm surprised that you didn't kill Goth. I thought that MAYBE he would die in the first book. When he didn't, I instantly thought 'the second book!'. But NO!

I guess it would be more interesting (not that it isn't already!) if the bad guys were still around. Looks like there will be a lot of work for Tor in Destiny! Especially with Xantia around! She seems to be a more of a threat to Tor than Goth. Thats what I think anyway.

Hi Snowy

Sorrel is the old girl who encourages Alyssa to leave her home. She manipulates Alyssa to agreeing to go to Caremboche and thus separating her from Tor. This separation was conceived by Merkhud, the old sentient and physic to the royals who persuades Tor to go to Tal with him. Do you remember this now? Sorrel and Merkhud are married. They are both centuries old and have been on a journey to seek the Trinity - it is their penance for their part in paying the "scavengers" for a stolen child. The stolen child is Orlac.

Adongo is one of the Paladin. If you've read Revenge he plays quite a major role in the middle of the book after Tor is shipwrecked. I don't want to say too much more here in case you haven't read book 2. His bonded one is not revealed until book 3.

Hope this all helps? Bye for now. F

Is it just me, or is it the fact that "the creep" is imperishable? I still don'pt believe he died in the waterfall. <squirms> He escapes death the way I escape doing homework.

Satine (Is now grumpy, 'cause it proves that creeps are exactly that, creeps, and they can squiggle their way out of anything.)

Oh! I question I've always wanted to ask, does it thrill you to see how strongly people react to the character? Wheather good or bad?

Yes - he who won't be named - is a creepy worm whom I'm sure will be around in the next book.

I might be wrong but it seems him and Tor have survived so much for him to be dead now....... Seems a little bit weird and I was always believe. Until you see a body they are never dead.....

*Ponders on that thought*

While Goth is still prancing around (well, swimming around, hehe), we all seem to have forgotten one other nasty little creature... Fiona, did you forget Xantia (?sp) as well??

Where did she go after Goth left on the ship?? Huh? I have tried to work out where she might be, but alas, my imagination has failed me this time.

*mahahaha* See I thought he would return in the third and final book. Looks like my instincts havent failed me yet.

Anyway I'm sure the wait will be well worth it in the end Fiona, it keeps us stewing for some time and when it finally comes out. The wait it well worth it...

I wanted to kill him at the end of Book 1 but publisher couldn't bear it. He brings out such intense feelings for so many including those at HarperCollins that the editorial team strongly believed he should stay and so he did. But I promise you he gets his come uppance in Destiny though you've surely had to wait a long time for it, I know. He's so revolting and yet when it came to it I found it really hard to do the deed and put off writing that scene for a long time.

Yes, I am humbled to be honest by how certain characters can provoke such intense reactions from readers. I say this because these people have been crafted from my imagination but for them to become strong enough in the readers' minds as to be real whilst they read the story, then that is enormously satisfying for me.

Wells, I just had a brain storm (yeah, it hurt a bit) and am remembering how she is versed in the 'dark arts' (can't remember the name you used for them so dark arts it is... :rolleyes ) and I'm going to guess that she uses them to help the new Orlac/other bad dude from the place where Lys is that's joined with Orlac (sorry, sent my copy of Revenge to America so I can't check up on the names <img src="> ).

Am I close??

Don't worry, I know you won't answer that, so I am catching the next plane down to torture the answer out of you.

*packs thumbs screws and iron maiden into carry on laugage*

Um, Fiona, can you come pick me up at the airport??
