Oh well now Caldazar thats a good question. A very good question.
I think you will find the answer most interesting. Yes yes interesting indeed.
Rather perplexing really and a difficult question to answer on such short notice.
You do of course realise that in order to answer such a question we would have to have a really good recollection of events in book one OR we would have to consult the oracle.
Certainly the easier of the two would to sit back quietly and consult the oracle when she gets here.
*scratches head*
hmmm she is taking her time now isn't she?
Oh have we met btw? If not welcome to the board. (you think that distracted him/her from the question?? Nope? Oh Damn)
Anyway, enjoy your stay and .......ooops bow now here she comes.....

Uh-oh. I sense a trick question here....Tor was around 15 when we meet him. It's about five years later when we pick up the tale in Revenge.

Umm yeah 5 years is what I thought you would say and well i'm having a problem with that. I better finish Revenge first and read the threads about Revenge though before I say why. I don't want to look silly for missing something.

It could be me just being dumb you know. I take it your response was sarcasm? My intention was not to insult you. I'm just having trouble with the timeline.
Ok so the time from when Tor left the village and the start of revenge is five years. What's the amount of time from when Tor left his Village and when the twins are born? My understanding is that from the time Tor died to when he goes in search of Cloot is about 5 years as he says that the children should be about 5 summers old. Yet he says that its only been 5 years since he's seen locky when they meet again. As he meet locky just after he left his village that would mean that all of the events in Betrayal took less than a year. So what am I missing?

Definitely not sarcasm...not into that. More like terror, Caldazar, that I have genuinely missed something.
Time travels differently where the children have been which is why they're grown but Tor and Alyssa haven't aged at nearly at the same rate.
Now your question about Locky is confusing me. I shall ponder it because I'm in a rush now to finish the edit and will get back to answer this properly shortly - I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your request. It's very good for readers to pick up on items like this - it keeps writers on their toes and it ensures that if there is a time error, we can fix at next print. I really appreciate your question.
Back soon I promise. Bye for now F

Yeah I understood the aging thing. I was just using it as a reference of how much time had passed from the end of book one to when Tor meets locky again.

this may be that i can't could and as such i may confuse everyone with what i am about to ask *sors* umm with the ten paladin (i think i spelt that wrong-the book isn't actually out infront of me sors) bu thaven't only liike 8 or 9 been 'reborn' into the world again?
With the dissapearance of Cyrus does that mean that he is with Rubyn?, if that doesn't give away too much be answering...

Sorry, Caldazar - I've been snowed under. When Tor first meets Locky, the little guy is just eight. When he meets him again he's 13 so roughly five to almost six summers in between. Most of what happens in Betrayal does happen over two short periods approx two years apart. Tor spends a couple of years at the palace before going to Caremboche. Then it's another couple of years before Revenge picks up. I think it should work out.

I believe the last of the Paladin only 'fell' to Orlac at the end of Revenge, so I guess the rebirth of the final one will take place in the begining of Destiny. Maybe... possibly.
Cyrus' absence was discussed in "Big Smacks" thread.
