Ok lets see. It seems that the city stores of Angus and Robertson have their act together. Both Fremantle and Perth city stores have copies on the shelf already. 4 copies in Fremantle and 8 in Perth (minus one I am going to grab as soon as I get off here). I rang a few suburban stores and they had no copies in stock yet.

Dymocks are another matter. Perth had no idea it was out for early release and still had a February release date. Garden City (whom I had my Betrayal run in with 're:another post somewhere on this board') said again "It might be in boxes at the back, would you like to put one on order?" heard that before?? :lol Ok so I figured Dymocks might not have got them as early as Angus and Robertson or are just not as organised. Who knows.

My Favorite little fantasy bookstore Super Nova Books in the city told me also that next Wednesday it would be out. (and I prefer to buy there, but I also have to be the first. <img src="> so sorry I have to go big chain this time.) Super Nova is great to find hard to get stuff but not the best on price, I usually shop there for lesser known titles.

This is Crusie reporting from on the Sunburnt West Coast, wishing you all a good day and signing out.
Bye for now!

Thanks FA for the wrap up. I'm thrilled Revenge gave you another worthwhile dose of Tallinor and I'm thrilled that you love Robin Hobb too because she is my favourite writer and I still pinch myself to know she has read and dare I say, really enjoyed, my books. As you know her stories evolve slowly and beautifully, dwelling on a single season in someone's life. My tale hurtles at a bit of a breathless rate and just drags the reader along saying you fill in the bits that don't really matter, let's get on with the story!

You know her opening with Tawny Man part one?...no one could be forgiven for wondering when the action might begin because we had colleted eggs and vegetables and prepared so many meals and shared gentle thoughts with Tom Badger. But that's the key to her writing...all the while the tension is building, building and bang, off we go. Fantastic stuff isn't it?

I'm just about three chapters shy of the end for Destiny and promise I will not keep you waiting beyond publication date which I gather is end July.

Thanks again! F

Just heard, Revenge is released tomorrow. :rollin

Feb 4 was official release date but I'm not complaining.

Crusie, if it's not a hassle, can you let me know when you see it in WA please? I have family from UK leaving from Perth on Feb 8 - they want to take some copies home with them. Many thanks.

I will ring most of the major bookstores tomorrow to hassle them. By tomorrow I'll know who has it on the shelves already and hopefully get myself a copy. If nobody does I'll want to know WHY? <img src=">

Be back tomorrow to report.

Hey maybe I can sign a few copies for them? <img src="> :lol

Crusie...you are my hero! Thank you for that fantastic report from way out west - now I can ring the mob and they can buy a stack of books to somehow fit into bulging luggage back to UK. Much appreciate it. And thank you for buying a copy. I look forward to hearing.

Lisa....I'd like to tsk tsk but how can I. Read with abandon but fast. We'll give you until midyear to get book one into shape and off somewhere. Nothing like a deadline! Thanks for buying it and let me know how it goes.

I really do hope it is a worthy and satisfying follow up for all of you. <img src=">

Well, I didn't end up getting the book yesterday, so as it was, I got the last copy the shop had. Sorry, LC, no book for you. hehe. They are ordering more however.

When I was enquiring as to when they would be getting more copies, the lady told me how she was surprised that people were in buying it all ready, because it wasn't supposed to be released for another couple weeks. So I did the old 'well, I know the author' routine. She was impressed. <img src=">

Well I was suprised how few copies they had ordered. I mean for the city store to only order 8 copies sounds strange. I hope Fiona's reletives went in and bought all 8 (I got my wife to grab me one in fremantle).

Do you think that we have Lurkers here?? you think they all knew that the book was coming out??

*waves to the lurkers* BOO!!! <img src=">

Anyway we should get an influx soon. Fiona had the website pretty prominent in the front of the book.
Woo hoo more lambs to the slaughter... oppps I mean people to talk to. :lol

You're making me nervous you two! Yes, I rather liked the "Wow!" touch - not my idea I can assure you. Enjoy the weekend everyone; unfortunately all of us at Travelnews will be working which is total drag but that's small business for you. No complaints. Have fun whatever you do. I shall find time to attend the obligatory Aussie Day BBQ tomorrow and my job is pavlova but for about 20 mouths so it'll have to be a monster. Wish me luck!

Hiya Fantasyaddict!!

Good to have you around and hope to see more of you.

Alas, while I do have my copy of Revenge, I have only gotten through the first twenty pages... fell asleep last night reading (not due to boredom, far from it, rather from three weeks straight of getting up around 5am each morning). Will get back to it at bath time tonight...

Hi All <img src=">

I bought Betrayal a few months before Christmas and finally got the chance to begin reading it this week. It was fantastic! Mind you after seeing references to Robin Hobb and Sara Douglass I knew it would be.

I finished it this morning with a tear in my eye and a sigh although all is not lost. Yesterday I found and bought Revenge! So the journey is just about to continue. The only thing is I can't decide whether to devour and finish it in the next few days or leave it until part 3 hmmmm....I know...I'll devour it now and then once again just before part 3 comes out.

Fiona thank you for a wonderful story and I will wait in anticipation for the third installment. At least I know that I can hop on to this BBS and communicate with others that are waiting just as impatiently as I am.
