Working title for the final part of this trilogy is Epiphany. Anyone got any other good ideas which follow on from Betrayal, Revenge and then ????
I am about to hit 80,000 words and working hard. Beware all budding writers out there of the book 3 syndrome!
For anyone who is interested, I am about to deal with Goth! Wish me luck. F

Good luck with Goth. Give him both barrels!!
Hmm... Epiphany sounds good. I take it all secrets are revealed and all questions answered and our hero finally understands everything?? Then Epiphany fits.
The only other thing that pops into mind is Vengeance, but that's too much like Revenge probably. Maybe Retribution, Justice??
Dunno if they will help....
btw, that review is up and running. Hope you like it.

Ugh, I think I got book 3 syndrome with book 1... book 2 is even longer, but book 3 might amount to nothing if I don't get cracking on it.
How many words was Betrayal??

Well let me think... book title, book title, book title.
Ok how about "Crusie Quest"? Nah
"Crusading the Stone"? Nah
"Crusie and the temple of doom"? Nup
"Crusie strikes back"? Nope.
"Crusie-Files"? Ok ok I give up I am hopeless.
A try at something serious? ok
without having read book two or book three or know what the hell they are about yet, I will take a punt with one of the following, (yes I know they mean the same thing)
Resurrection, resurgence, renaissance, reawakening (or just awakening), recovery.
Anyway you know what the book is about better than us so you should know if any of the above fit.
Good luck with Goth, he is a slimey character and pretty hard to kill, as we have seen so far.

If you need some torture techniques just ask ABA, she is one nasty, twisted piece of work she is.

You two are very good fun - helps relieve a hard day's writing. Ah now Crusie...Resurrection was the title of book 2 but Harpers felt too close to too many other novels around at the moment, not necessarily of the fantasy persuasion. Marketing comes into it in a big way - remember this Aba - once the format is set for the illustration, you have to be careful that books 2 and 3 have similar length titles! Another reason why Resurrection was canned. Vengeance is nice but yes, too close to previous. Reunion is knocking around but it's not evoking enough emotion. The epiphany part is Tor's discovery of who Orlac is, who he himself is, Alyssa's discovery of her shady background, not to mention the Stones of Ordolt, discovery of all the Paladin. It's a real journey. I'm leaping around from person to person at the moment - there's so many characters and sub plots to tie together....arrrgh!
Betrayal was 140,000 words. Up to 160,000 is probably a good size to work towards for parts of a trilogy. For a stand alone, I'd work with 200,000 minimum.
I'm off to voyager! Back to you soon. Thanks for all the support you two! Talk later.

Why do I get the impression that you are trying to sully my reputation, Crusie?

Sunday morning sleep in. Boys playing Star Trek Dominion Wars on their computer, husband somewhere in the skies over Canada, dog barking happily at an ant outside. And I was lying there thinking about whether Rapture would work. And now you've come up with one which I think is infinitely better! I shall have to chew over this one - it's very good. Thank you BB. Best, Fiona
p.s. Saw Harry Potter at the weekend. Brilliant to see it come to life especially Quidditch but give me the book, a comfy chair, a steaming cuppa and my wide-eyed sons waiting breathlessly for the next chapter anyday! Books rule. F
