Hey

I started reading the Quickening series a few months ago and was so hooked on them that i managed to finish them in a week. Now, months later, i was in the same sorry predicament. As a high school student in year 12 my free time is sparse to say the least and seeing as though i have my exams in 1 week from now i thought it was a daring move to go to the library and find a good book...but i did / ,I saw the Trinity series and immediately grabbed them all remembering the Quickening and the good read i had there. It was a matter of days before i finished Betrayal and Revenge followed in the next day where i came home from school and read til i finished it... Just this morning i woke up and finished Destiny which i had been trying to stretch out for a bit longer than the previous 2 but to no avail /

I hate the end of a good book. I know it was a good book when i feel sad at not being a part of the story anymore, and not being able to look forward to the next helping of Tor and Cloot's adventures (even going back to Wyl and his story i feel sad).

After finishing the book i glanced over the the personal info section at the start about Fiona and was really spooked to see the many similarities in hers and my lives / ,For instance i grew up to the age of 16 in Brighton, England. My mum travelled to Sydney in her youth and loved it and had wanted to move to australia for years and just over a year ago we did just that. I now live in Adelaide where i am under the constant 'pleasure' of re-doing school because my GCSE results wouldnt gain me access to uni... So at the age of 17 (18 next month yay!) i am back at school and feeling the pressure of looming exams once again.

I would just like to thank you Fiona for the great reads and cant wait to read the Percheron books /

I'm so sorry I don't know your name but hello to my fellow Brightonian! I'm going to be back there in a few days - can't wait. Just a quick 48 hours in the hometown but always feels great to get home, however brief, to stomp the old haunts.

How annoying that your O'levels aren't recognised. What cheek! Anyway, hopefully you'll romp it in and be ready to hit uni clutching a fantastic TER score. What do you want to do? My sons have just completed their mid Year 11 exams and one has pneumonia and the other a horrible sore throat and cold as a result. I think all students push so hard at this time so I do sympathise. Be fantastic. We'll look forward to hearing how you get on.

In the meantime, thank you for reading my books and enjoying them so much. I know what you mean - losing yourself in a book that is really satisfying with characters you love makes you feel like you're among friends and i such a comfort zone....always horrible to leave it. But Percheron awaits you and I'm sure you're going to find Lazar, Pez, Ana, Boaz, etc a great new gang of companions and get carried away on this big new adventures too.

Enjoy!

Talk soon, although I'm away for three weeks from tomorrow.

Fx
