ive only just started to read books rather than magazines like fhm but i think i put that down to reading the trinity books. ive only read two other books before revenge and they were compulsary for school so didnt enjoy it, but i was bored one day and someone suggested this trilogy. i read the first book in south africa within a week, which for me is just not done and as soon as i got back i went out and bought betryal and just now destiny. the thing i praise about is the depths of the charactors. we know their back grounds and their reasons for being in the book in full, be it only saying hes a palladin, but we know hes there to protect and what hes gone through to get here. but the best part is going to the book shop because ive never atually seen how many hot girls work there! so its a win win situation. cheers

does anyone know if the myrrions books will offer the same, because im thinking its hard to beat the trinity

Since you didn't leave your name ,I'll just call you anon.

Anon, Trinity was Fiona's first trilogy, and while some think it was her best, most agree that the Quickening Trilogy, her second, shows growth, stronger characters, and tighter plot development then the first.
The short answer to your question is a resounding YES.  Buy them...read them...love them!
Oh, love the book shop girls too.

Phil

OK, anon = Chaser898.   Ciao Chaser.    P

Hey Chaser,

Welcome to our wonderful world of Fiona McIntosh!!  I agree with Phil, if you enjoyed Trinity you will love The Quickenings especially if you are after strong character and plot lines.

Being a chick I suppose I shall take your comment regarding hot chicks in book stores as a compliment, though I never did work in a book shop that is usually the one place in any shopping centre you will find me (or much to my partner's dismay Michael Hill Jewellers )

Hope your adventures with Fiona continue.

Ciao Ailsa

Welcome Chaser You know a comment like yours means so much to me. There are a lot of readers here who are very knowledgeable about the sf genre and devour books as you've described you did, regularly. They're wonderful to learn from. However, reading your post I just felt great. You made me feel really good about being a writer and about creating a story that can reach out and touch someone who normally doesnt read this stuff....who doesn't actually make a habit of reading books. So thank you. I'm thrilled Trinity was recommended and that it brought you pleasure. By all means go on to The Quickening - I personally love this tale, it's my favourite....and it's ghoulish and unpredictable too. Hope you enjoy. Visit again! F
