Just thought you'd like to know that I shall be commencing work on this new series - yes, a trilogy - from April 2004. We are aiming for a September 2005 release. Subsequent books will follow in six month blocks.

In the not too distant future, readers will have the ability to read novels inside their head before the author has thought of it! And we will have to pay them for it. Cripes I gotta stop reading Phillip K. Dick books!!

My husband happened to walk in as I was reading the back covered with chocolate and then I had to stammer and splutter what the post was actually about! Anyway made me laugh and thank you all for the wonderful bribes.

You all know full well that I don't write to a plan so I can't tell you much about the story except to say that it will be set in a sort of fantasy Byzantium. Percheron is the country. The story will have a heroine this time which is rather odd for me but fret not there is a supremely delicious fellow who will share equal billing. He looks like Colin Firth in a sort of Omar Sharif way....if you get my gist! I'm in love with him already.

As for the story - who knows! I'll keep you all posted but first I need to find out if HC wants it - wish me luck.

... and here i was, thinking that it doesnt really matter whether Harry Potter likes it or not.

I know harper collins (can i say voyager?) will like it regardless of Mr. Potter's sentiment.
