Hey people, i've just discovered, to my complete surprise lol, that i have absolutly no idea what most of you are talking about (at least not about the book anyway. damn you guys are funny lol) not mention whats with this Vulcan thing?...?? anyway, what up with this new book? huh? HUH? tsk, tsk, tsk i just finished reading the Quickening (and theres some spelling errors i noticed by the way, you should get a bteer proof-reader lol) and already there's another series coming out...what's to be done? I hope i'm not expected to read this for a while, because i still need to read 'The Trinity' trilogy.

Hi dragon reborn - another nice anime graphic - checked with my son and he advises that there are 2 anime clubs in Qld - both at Qld Unis - am still waiting for details for you - soon. Re earlier messages - Turkey has much more to offer than despicable jails - eg Ottoman empire, lokum (turkish delight) amazing country side (Capadocia and saffron, diverse flora). Greece - well other than Archimedes, Aristotle and the classic thinkers - olives and olive oil, Atlantis, Greek mythology, democracy etc etc etc... in other words - inspiration - being immersed in another culture offers such amazing insights into the ingenuity of humans and their amazing history. Shame about the politics and corruption and tourists. Just think how much the OS visit will inform the book and those to follow. Om... Have you seen this years Xmas range from Haigh's ??? even for a non-choco like me - its impressive. Yum... If chocolate be the fuel of writing - eat on... Once I heard that Fiona was travelling to Turkey it inspired me to get the real Turkish delight - I tracked down the famous Divan brand - cheaper to buy from a US supplier than direct from Turkey and the EDA brand from the UK. That and Nougat is my inspiration - oh - and Thornton's toffee... All rationed - my rewards only if I complete my quota of writing. I am thrilled to hear that Percheron is alive and progressing despite the many demands on Princess Fiona - well done. Do Vulcans eat chocolate? Do Vulcans write novels? :P ):( ):(

At least you know it will be released within the forseeable future - we're just getting our first look at Fiona here in the States (well, officially in a few months...)

Thanks for all the welcomes, it makes me feel so special. :P And yes i have read Robert Newcomb, he's one of my favorites and I simply can't wait until the next book is out. In fact I think I'll check with my Random rep and see if she can sneak me a copy to go along with the copy of Feast for Crows she's promised me. :gold If you liked Newcomb you might also want to take a look at Steven Erikson and R. Scott Bakker. As to how I first got the happy opportunity to read Fiona, yes, it was an advanced copy that my friend Mike from Harper sent me. (Mike is my rep so he knows what I like to read and we have been on rather good terms since my store won a national Terry Pratchet contest he told me about) I actually got the book back in October maybe and added it to my stack of advanced copies to read (I try to get them read before they come out, but often times it doesn't happen that way). Anyways, a few days ago I was looking through my closet of book (I have to stack books in an otherwise empty closet until I can afford more shelving) and it started calling me. And the rest, as they say, is history.... That's probably a more drawn out explaination than you really wanted....... :duck
