Hooray, the new journey has begun. Dymocks Adelaide sold its first copy as the doors opened - I think it was 0905 when the till began ringing and I gather than was our very own Pauline...thanks! Thanks to all for your fantastic support in the lead up and I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on with this new, exotic tale of the famed city of Percheron and its mysterious harem! Happy reading. Fx

Ditto that ! I finished Betrayal last night  (loved it !) and will knock over the Revenge and Destiny over the next couple of weeks and then I'll step into this new world of yours :)

Good luck again Fi, I hope it goes fantastic.

Scott.

Woohoo!!

Managed to nab a copy of 'Odalisque' last night and as a treat because I'd finished my end-of-rotation exam (still got SWOTVAC, but I can afford a break!) I started reading it this morning! Round about 7:45am to be precise and finished it in just over 3 hours (about 5 minutes ago to be precise!) Very much enjoyed the adventure in an eastern clime, Fiona, and I think Pez has got to be my favourite rather than Lazar! ;) Indeed I'm looking forward to Emissary - and to the December bookclub!! ;)

Now to hand the book over to my sister!

Awww. Be careful they don't eat the book instead if you don't feed them! ;)

My local bookshop (and only way of buying books) is telling me it is not released yet! Any Idea what's up with that?

Poor Loza - so sorry but this is news that puts a little smile on my face I have to admit - thanks for telling me! Hope you get your copy on Tuesday and give me your address....can I send you a signed bookplate with thanks? Dragongirl - my apologies. I think that bookshop is working off months and months' old information because it was scheduled for release on December 1 but all the bookshops have known for a long time that it was coming out October 27. Anyway, I hope you can get one in quickly and I'm sorry for the nuisance. Let me know if I can send you a signed bookplate as well. Cheers and thanks for the enthusiasm! F

Nothing dumb about you Loza! A bookplate is normally an attractive sticky label that an author can sign and you can stick into the front of your book if you wish. If you'd like me to send you one, then email me privately on: fiona@fionamcintosh.com Alternatively this BB has a private messaging service. But email's probably fastest. I'll wait to hear.

Just finished this evening...... no matter how hard I tried, the pages insisted on turning much faster than I wanted them to....

Thank you Fiona :)  I am in awe and have no idea where to begin.......

Odalisque is magnificent... an absolute feast ...

Usually, if I really enjoy a fantasy, I can visualise it (in a hazy kind of way).....  Odalisque was so much richer.....  I became totally emersed in it....

Shan't give anything away other than my usual recommendations to all those who have not read it yet to lock themselves in a room, drink lots of coffee and enjoy :D

 Extraordinary Fiona !!!!referrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600">
