Hi Doonar Thanks for reading all my books - with all the choice available, I'm hugely flattered and you've obviously enjoyed Odalisque, thank you, to be asking the critical question. Can I say this first....(grin). The good news is it's almost ready to draft. I'm sending it off to the draft readers early next week and I've just got the last few chapters to craft over Christmas. It will be delivered to the publisher in January as per deadline. Now, here's the bad news. Publisher only wants to bring out one McIntosh fantasy per year. This is because I've moved up into the trade format. I know, that's a long wait between instalments and for this I do apologise as I too prefer bringing out two books per year. But this is the way of publishing and the choice is not left with the author. Who else do you like reading? Oh and welcome to the board - nice to have you amongst us. F

Fiona, could you clarify your comments about 1 book a year?  That still means Emissary will be out in 2006 doesn't it?  Just a bit later in 2006?

Yes, Phokas, sorry I took so long to reply to this query - I somehow missed it in my daily scans. Emissary will be released at the beginning of November 2006 by which time I'll have book 3 ready for Christmas 2007 release!

Thanks Fiona!!!

I was a little worried there for a moment.  I see that the US publication is listed for this coming Spring.  It would be nice on the wallet in terms of shipping costs if the US releases would catch up as Eos does not seem to care about more than one book out in a year!  Regardless I am glad to hear that 2006 will not go Percheron-less.

Wow! I had no idea it was coming out that early in the States. I thought I'd be lucky to see Odalisque released anywhere outside of Australia during 2006. That's great news especially as I haven't even seen the edit yet! Anyway, do hope you enjoy it. I am writing the final chapter right now of Emissary. x

Well amazon has it listed so Eos had to submit it.  I do think it is a wrong listing though as it is showing the same month as Bridge of  Souls.  So maybe Odalisque won't be out here until the fall and that way Eos can make sure they always have one of your books in reserve for a little longer!   Still Eos has been very proactive in releasing multiple books by an author if they are in print  (Canavan and Alma Alexander for instance).

Bridge of Souls is already released across the U.S. and now they're releasing the mass market paperback of Myrren. I think Odalisque will have to be in the Fall because I haven't received the structural edit yet but should be working on it with my American editor from early Feb.
