Hey, I honestly love this character but I really don't see how he relates to Mr Darcy (Colin Firth). I can see that their are similarities but they seem too few to have the character based on him. Te@ggs

Thank you, thank you - I too think there are only sparce traces of traits that relate to MrD'C and this has been discussed in an earlier thread - but good to hear it repeated since then.  As you might determine from reading earlier comments our Fiona is a strong fan of Colin F and his role in the favourite Prode and prejudice - this is her personal fav so rahter than dismiss any traces of the D'C most of us accept that Fiona needs to fall in love with her leading man and if its Mr D'C then let it be.  Like you I admire Lazar - L and am keen to follow his journey into books 2 & 3.  Strength of character and integrity as well as some mystery and aloofness borne of self confidence - COOL - not arrogance.  Yep - Lazar is a fantastic character for the Pecheron series.  Each book has it's own momentum and character profile - whatever works is good/ great.  Thank the powers that be that a Lazar emerged in this work.  Strength and integrity and good looks do not guarantee a peaceful existance.  :)

Very well explained A ... and, of course, it could be waaay worse. Fiona could have a thing for, say, Johnny Howard ... imagine him popping-up in every book. AHHHHHHHH !!!!!!! Adios :pimp

So I'm the only one who thinks Lazar is arrogant? I adore him, as you know, and curious though it may seem I do think he is arrogant. He's proud - too proud, there are moments where he's self important, he doesn't really care about the feelings of others but not necessarily because he's heartless but he's withdrawn, far too remote from mundane stuff to realise his aloofness can affect people. He certainly doesn't look like Colin Firth but I do see him striding around like Firth as D'Arcy. Let's get this straight - I love Firth but then I love Robson Green...anyone know him? But my fascination is more for Firth's rendition of the character in Pride and Prejudice. It's the character of Darcy that I love most of all. Did I mention I liked Robson Green, DN?...especially as Dr Tony Hill. He'll definitely bob up in a future tale. Thanks Te@ggs.....F
