Hi Lerbby...or should I say, Captain Giraffe! Nice to have you here. Yes, Goddess is available in Australia in the last week of November right across all states. For the next four Christmases at least, you can count on there being a McIntosh adult fantasy volume released by HarperCollins. We've fallen into a Christmas publication schedule for the trade size with the small paperback of that title released approx eight months later. I am editing Goddess now and I will begin writing the fourth series in July. Hope that helps. Bye for now. F

Welcome Libby! and Join the Club - when it comes to wanting Goddess to be out sooner rather than later! you will find that most of us here seem to pester Fiona as to when the next book in a series is coming out but many can vouch that it doesn't speed up the process unfortunately! Anyway, welcome - have a look around and don't be afraid to put your opinion into any of the discussions. See you round Ailsa

Sorry for bumping an old post, but is the last week of November still accurate for the release date?

I believe so, Maniac. The publisher says Dec 1 is the official release date. That means all the books have to be in stores a few days before - usually around 26th say. Now although embargoes are meant to be observed, unless you're JK Rowling, I think most booksellers just get their new books out as soon as possible and especially the Christmas releases because they're normally the ones that people are waiting on. For the retailers it means early dollars for the Christmas onslaught. Thanks for being eager. My fingers are firmly crossed everyone's content with how the Percheron story is resolved for all the characters. F

OH I so have Goddess on my Christmas list!!

I am just hoping my family don't do what they did last year to me when they bought the book, had Fiona sign it and then wouldn't let me read it until after Christmas!! All the while I knew everything about it, grrr!

Oh well, I am ready and waiting for the next book but I think I might refresh on the story before I get Goddess.

Why? Your books are seriously that good, that I'm pretty sure you won't get any complaints. Unless you killed of one of my favourite characters....lol

Can't wait to get it, I'll be first in line. Mum'll kill me though because of how fast I read. I'll have it done in a matter of hours after buying it haha

I don't know if this is what I'm supposed to use to post a question but here it goes. I'm from the US and I've been reading here that Goddess will be out at the end of November but then at other places I've looked it says June 2008. If it is coming out in November, I would love to pre-order a copy. Is that possible? Please help.

I discovered Fiona McIntosh last year when I bought the Quickening series. I am now waiting for the "Goddess" to come out. I have been reading Fantasy since 1967 when I was introduced to the Hobbit. I have read many series and to be truthful, most were readable but not outstanding. Fiona is a master of character development and her plots are so intertwined that you are on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Her conversational style makes you think that you are talking with them. I will have to find someone in Australia who will mail me a copy of Goddess since I live in the U.S. Otherwise it will be a year before I can get it. Any takers let me know and I will send you the money for the book and postage.

Amazon has it listed for May 27th, Mnewsom; I'm waiting on it too.  I couldn't wait for Trinity to be published here in the U.S., if it ever will be; so that trilogy I picked up on ebay.au.  That's an option, or ordering directly from Dymocks Booksellers in Australia.  Their shipping is high, though, so if you can find a willing person down under you may be able to save some on that.  I'll just wait for my Amazon copy with bated breath.

Wow, Phil, no idea how anyone can do that. If it's a book that I've been waiting on, I'll have it early morning the day it's available in any local store. If it isn't available here, I order it from wherever it is available. This year is going to be particularly good. Not only the finale to Percheron, but Confessor (final novel in the Sword of Truth series) is being released. It's always good to come to the end of an epic fantasy series. There's about 3 others I'm waiting on. Gotta love books. :)

If anyone outside of Australia can't wait to receive their copy of Goddess or other Fiona McIntosh books and would like copies sent from Oz, I am happy to forward them. Please PM and we can discuss details. Ciao Ailsa
