I heard today that the piece I did for Orbit re Odalisque is enjoying over 100 hits a week. Considering it was a spontaneous chat on camera - I didn't even know what they wanted me to do until they turned it on - I'm quite surprised that it is working so well. But then again if I could watch various authors talking about their work, what inspired certain stories and all that sort of background to a tale I've enjoyed, then I could well see myself avidly tuning in.
I might have to think about doing one here and saying hello to everyone. If I had a built in camera to my Mac it would be so easy - perhaps that should be next on the wishlist?

No, these are the UK vesion of The Quickening - they're really nice. A tendency to look like historical fiction rather than strictly fantasy.
The Odalisque cover for UK is a mix between Quickening and Trinity covers with a hint of the exotic. Not at all what you'd expect for Percheron but it is being very effective. They're moving at a very nice clip off the shelves. In fact, I heard yesterday that Orbit has already reprinted Odalisque that was only released this month across UK.
Thank you again to the Brit readers and Brit booksellers.
