This is my first post in the forums, thought I'd jump on and check out my new favourite author. I was recently in hospital for a while, and I'm an avid reader, so my Mum went out to the local bookstore and bought a few books to soothe my insane boredom. Amongst the books was Odalisque. At first, I wasn't sure if I could get into fantasy, yet found myself easily immersed. I loved it. It really helped me through a tough time. Would love to say thank you so much.

I've read Emissary since then, and now that I'm finally back at home, have started reading The Quickening. I'm up to book 2 now and loving it. I didn't know what to actually say on here. Just wanted to say thank you again and I can't wait for Goddess to come out. I'm dying to see how it ends.

Hello Clove - love that name and I'm using something similar in my latest novel. What a lovely post yours is. How very kind to write and to share with me how you came upon my books and that they've obviously made a difference when you most needed an escape. This is a huge reward for me and my thanks flow to you rather than the other way around. I'm glad Emissary has kept that Percheron pot boiling for you and in a few weeks you'll have Goddess so you can finish the tale. Yes, finish! I don't do 10 part of even four part trilogies. I really like closure to a story. I'm not saying I'll never revisit Tallinor or Morgravia or even Percheron for that matter - in fact, I like to link all my series through the various lands, as you'll discover when you read them - but if I did return to any of them, it would have to be with a very new story, new set of characters. For now though it's a fresh tale, set in the land that is not dissimilar to Morgravia and Briavel. Glad you're enjoying The Quickening - at least all three books are there are ready to read. Keep well Clove. Hope you are now fully recovered and getting back into the swing of your daily routine. Visit again. F
