I was looking for a series that treated dragons as something other than knight-munching machines, and 'The Dragon Knight' books by Gordon R.Dickson were recommended.
Has anyone else read them...and would you also recommend them.
Other books suggested were :-
Dragonsbane etc.... Barbara Hambly
The Dragon Delasandre... Alan F. Troop
The Dragons of the Cuyahoga... S. Andrew Swann
Dragoncharm etc.... Graham Edwards

Soldier, Dickson is a longtime favourite of mine, (The Dorsai series is deservedly a SciFi classic,) but have you come across these 'Dragon Knight' books?

God I will have to get back to the 2nd hand book shops, Haven't read any of The Dragon Knight series, something else to add to what seems to be an endless supply of books to read, Why can't i just be paid to read?? What a good job that would be.
i read Dragoncharm, but was not impressed enough to look for the sequels.
Christopher Rowley has written a series of books about Bazil Broketail, a Battle Dragon, and his boy Renkin
" A Battle Dragon's best friend is his boy "
i have read the first 3 in this series, and can't make up my mind if they are aimed at a juvenile market or not, whatever i liked 'em, i wouldn't go looking for them , but if i saw one I would read it
