This is a got to read...

Steven Erikson
Steven Erikson was born in Toronto, grew up in Winnipeg, and worked in the UK for several years until returning to Winnipeg a few years ago where he now lives with his wife and son. He is an anthropologist and archaeologist by training, as well as being a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop. Gardens of the Moon (1999) was his first fantasy novel.

Can anyone tell me why I am reading all Canadian writers at moment???

Apart from me being besotted with Manon that is???

Hey Soldier! I'm back! :green :yellow :red

These books seem to tell quite an intricate story. I have the first three in the series, and I read on his website that he was planning a 10-book series for that one. I only hope this will not be another Robert Jordan thing, and end up with a 25-book series instead.

As for reading Canadian writers, Soldier, well... how about quality of writing? <img src=">

Off the topic, but sort of related anyway, I have a friend who has a friend that worked in Australia for two years. That person said that Australian culture (that is humour, way of life, thinking, etc.) was very much like the Quebecois culture. No wonder I have such a great time posting on this BB!
