Is she the author of Deja Dead and Death Du Jour? If so my wife quite likes them - much better than most other police forensic type novels in her opinion.

Has anyone read any of her books? My wife likes her and gave me 'Fatal Voyage' for father's day, but I haven't read it yet. (I read very little that isn't SF/Fantasy.)

I haven't DN - in fact I'm getting her muddled with Nicci French of Red Room, Killing Me Softly etc - both good airline reads.

Yes BigH...that's her.

She's actually working at ground-zero in New York at the moment...helping to identify the remains that are being found.

Other people have told me she is a poor man's Patricia Cornwell... mind you I did not enjoy PC ... its not her writting i don't enjoy the genre really.

KR has a few books out at moment... Deja Dead being the first (The Brennan series) if I am not mistaken...if in doubt join the library and get it out.

Funny, Cath says she is better than most and specifically much better than Patricia Cornwall.

Just goes to show that, as with all things, it is a matter of taste and you should always try something for yourself and not base your thoughts on other peoples views.
