Has anyone read these books . I think the author is Tad Williams .Would love to hear about them before I buy.Spotted them at the airport but didn't get enough time to read a bit before shelling out the hard earned.Comments would be much appreciated

If you're expecting the Tad Williams of Dragonbone Chair - forget it. I did shell out and was disappointed because it is really sci-fi and not at all what I had expected. It's clever and the writing's good but I got halfway through as I recall and just put it aside in a huff. However, if you like a bit of sci fi you may enjoy it as I gather plenty have.

Thanks Fiona. I am not much into science fiction so have probably saved enough to get Destiny in hardback by not buying this series. I picked up the assasins apprentice and am enjoying it immensely. Nearly as much as the two books I have just reread by an author who's name escapes me at the moment. Lives in a wierd outback town called Adelaide.Hmmm.Well it willl come to me eventually her name.
Must get back to work. Once again thanks.

Ha ha.
Assassin series is special. It will touch you for ever. Glad you're enjoying it.

Destiny won't be in hardback yet but keep plugging for me! Ah well, at least perhaps now you can buy Destiny and another book to enjoy.

I beggared myself by splashing out yesterday and bought six books - I've read all before but they've mysteriously disappeared from my bookshelf. Things like Pillars of the Earth which EVERYONE has to read and own a copy of!
