My husband is a voracious consumer of newspapers and topical information. He seems to know something about most things. But to get him to read a novel is like pulling teeth - in fact almost impossible. I know you're all going to need oxygen here but he hasn't read Betrayal or Revenge as books - he only saw the early, early drafts. Moving on...I have begged him to escape into novels but gave up years ago. I do all the reading for this house. Anyway, preparing for this trip he actually said to me "I think I'd like to read a fantasy novel - see what all this fuss about".
He went ratting through my pile but I've lent so many I became hysterical because I couldn't find any of my favourites. So in full hysteria mode I raced down to our local newsagent today and bought part one of Assassin trilogy. I reckon if he's going to read fantasy, he might as well read some of the best. With a cheshire cat grin and a flourish I presented him with Fitz and envy him every moment of the read on the plane when he leaves on Wednesday. He's off to Hong Kong and then Germany for the major German Travel Mart. Get this, I am meeting him on a railway platform in Stuttgart in a week's time with only minutes to spare to catch our connection to Prague. Romantic it is but I imagine it's going to be nerve-wracking because the McIntosh family is notoriously vague.

Why didn't you just reach over to the book shelf and pull down 'Betrayal'? Would have been quicker at least. <img src=">

But I'm sure you will have hooked him with Fitz. He'll be an addict in no time.
