Hi all I just finished reading the eighth book in the anita blake series and ohh boy. I finished it laste last night in the middle of a thunderstorm and managed to give myself nightmares all night. I have to say I loved the book and the insight into Edward that we get but bring back the boys

Otherwise I havent been reading much latley just some trashy romance novels which are good when your brain is fried. But I have Julia Grays latest novel on my to read next pile so that should be good

Okay, so I'm about half way through and I don't like what she's doing with Edward. I mean, he's my favourite of Anita's 'boys' (the other pair are just... gooey, I still like them, but Edward has that... mystery that is just lovely, a really bad version of Kyt Cyrus (to use a character we should all be familiar with)) and I don't like how he's turning out so far. He's almost... *shudders*... human. It's... un-natural.

I hope he does some cold blooded arse kicking soon.

The books are the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K Hamilton. The first one is *runs off to check books shelf* ah, heck, heres the whole list..

Guilty Pleasures
The Laughing Corpse
Circus of the Damned
The Lunatic Cafe
Bloody Bones
The Killing Dance
Burnt Offerings
Blue Moon
Obsidian Butterfly

The tenth one is due out soon, as well. Very good reads if you're after something that reads easily, very direct writting style, convoluted plots, heap big guns, much gore and guts and lots of clothes descriptions.
