this is one of those books that from an early stage outline what the book will cover-normally I like this sort of book it leaves me without feeling dumb for not understanding 'who dun it'

In this instance it's a trilogy and you only get a very small portion of the story which is quite disappointing at the end of the book theres a lot of unnecessary bulk to the story (like half a chapter on a trip to the local market BORING) but I did read it in 1 day and a half so it still keeps you interested.

The biggest disappointment of all is that the next book is a year away and at least a year more for the final installment. Not ideal for the very impatient like myself.

The story was quite good though I'd recommend it if you are desperate for a read and are very patient.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tale. I will admit the ending made me want to throw the book across the room because it didn't deliver the right amount of satisfaction but the story as it gathered itself had me intrigued. The premise for the story is very creepy and clever. FW I think you've reacted how most have to the book - I have several friends who feel precisely as you did. I went looking for her other tales but found her first three books are about the same people but not a trilogy as she very strongly assures us but some sort of collection of stories or something? Put me off. I shall wait for part 2 of Bone Doll and see how I go. I think the characters are terrific and the writing lovely. One year seems an awfully long time though, doesn't it!

I wasn't evenaware she had other books. I was on my way home from my honeymoon when i saw it and thought that it looked like my kind of book. My post was a tad bitchy i should have stressed that i too enjoyed it (well most of) but was disappointed by the wait for the next one. This is one of the reasons why I like your books is that the wait isn't too long between books.
