Either you read the book and you hated the movie,
or
You'd never heard of the book and you hated the movie,
or
you liked it, not having read the book,
or,
like me, you'd read the book
and you liked the movie,
but,
either way,
Starship Troopers 2 is coming your way.

Oh baby oh baby oh baby.
About damned time too

">
Read the books and my wife and I loved the movie so much we walked straight back into the next session.
Is it
that Beautifully crafted? Not necessarily
Is it
that true to the original? Not at all except there are bugs LOL
So why see it
twice? It was funny and didn't try to do anything it couldn't achieve. Too many movies try to preach a message or claim a scale far beyond the reach of the director or the actors he has. This did neither and if you traded guns for swords it would be described as a swashbuckling good time

My logic is simple: Any movie that starts with a TV reporter being ripped apart, has to be worth watching.
I know the RAH purists hated it, (much as the Tolkien purists hated LotR,) but dem purists be funny folk.

Direct To Video...that's what they did with it in the States.
But that's cool...I can live with that.

I can honestly say that I had never heard of the book, but I LOVED the movie!

I mean, anything with Denis Richards in it HAS to be worth watching - just for the eye-candy at least!
Seriously though, I loved the aliens - thery were so .. so .. UGLY! And the film was just so .. violent!

So, hopefully #2 is just as good.
You may now consider me Amused.
