It's real - unless of course what I read was an elaborate scam <img src=">

... in which case; to whoever pulled off that scam? I hope you're happy now, I'm leading members of this community astray here! :P

I have introduced this stunning movie to my little girl, who love anything with a princess in it. I found myself watching good win over bad and true love conquer all.

she loved it and just quietly so did I.:moon

Oh gosh, one of my all time FAVOURITE movies!

[Vizzini has just cut the rope The Dread Pirate Roberts is climbing up]
Vizzini: HE DIDN'T FALL? INCONCEIVABLE!
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Fezzik: It's not my fault being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise.

Westley: Life is pain, Highness! Anyone who says differently is selling something.

Miracle Max: Go away or I'll call the Brute Squad!
Fezzik: I'm on the Brute Squad.
Miracle Max: You *are* the Brute Squad!

Westley: Can you move at all?
Buttercup: You're alive! If you want I could fly.

Ahhh, childhood reminiscing, brilliant!

Prince Humperdinck: "Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work but I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it. I'm swamped." :lol2

My favourite scene would have to be the sword-fight between Inigo Montoya and the Man In Black - discussing each other's fencing technique while trying to kill each other. It was all so civil. <img src=">

I must admit that I love this movie. I taped it when it first came on TV (I was 5). I've since watched it that many times and the tape wore out. Now after a 2 year break I've finally bought it again on tape (haven't got a DVD yet) and I'm well on my way to wearing out this tape too.

i saw this first when i was about 7, and still think it is a great movie: it has everything! action, drama, romance, humour, etc...
havent seen it in a while tho...

one of my favourite scenes is the one on the boat with all the rhyming!
i would quote it, but i cant remember exactly how it goes...

*pushes thread to top*

I heart this movie. Love the book too. Every inch of it. The movie takes almost everything straight out of the book. I love the sword-fighting scene on the top of the cliffs of insanity.

I could recite it all if I wanted to. *hugs it* I love the whole -

Vizzini: Iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows! And Australia is entirely peopled with criminals. And criminals are used to having people not trust them, just as you are not trusted by me, therefore I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you!

And in the Fire Swamp -

Buttercup: Westley, what about the R.O.U.S's?
Westley: Rodent Of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist. *gets attacked*

Once out of the Fire Swamp -

Humperdinck: Surrender!
Westley: Oh, you mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well, I accept.

I have to watch it again....perhaps read the book once I've finished Myrren's Gift.

A classic. I remember having it playing non-stop on our big screen in the video shop I managed when it first came out on video.

Thus we had to order another 20 copies to keep up with demand.

Was #1 on the most rented list when I called it a day at that job.
