Starts out in thrilling fashion and then just falls away. A long complex movie that ultimately disappointed. Wish I'd gone to see Pirates instead but couldn't face the queues! F

I fell asleep! Granted, I was pretty exhausted after two weeks of non stop travel, workshopping, etc, but I go to the movies so rarely that nothing is going to get in the way of my enjoyment, not even fatigue. But this film just seemed to spiral into nothing with too many unanswered questions that left me frustrated.

The length of the movie was really surprising and I agree the ending really fizzled. Drawn out and just... felt very patched together. Once it moved away from the Newspaper/police stuff i found that the core of the movie really was difficult to concentrate in.

Oh hooray - I thought it was just me. It's such a shame - it started so well and in such chilling fashion. The murders were all terrifying but in truth I couldn't care less about the journo or the cartoonist's relationship with his family. This film needed to be all about the hunt and there was SO much left unanswered and clues not followed through.

I think that's the point though. I googled it afterwards because I was somewhat annoyed by the ending and it's never truely been 100% without a doubt solved. I was on a "psedu date that was not a date because it can't be a date because i don't like you" (long story) and I refused to go to the bathroom.... i really regretted that. Poor friend had to go... TWICE and he's a guy. It was WAY too long. I never cared about the Journalist.... but i did sort of care about the comic artist... though at first I thought he's be WAY cooler and clued in...then it never really happened til the end.
