TorCon doesn't officially start until tomorrow, and today was a day of inscriptions and getting tags and documentation. I did that in the morning so I could get the rest of the day off to explore the city a little bit. They handed me a small ticket, telling me not to lose it and that this ticket would get me my pocket program on Thursday morning. Hmph! Why didn't they just hand it over with the badges? Sometimes the subtleties of convention organization just escape me… :wall

So, today I met wit a good friend from the old Sara D. BB: fang, the Elder. <img src="> I've been reading about the various board Brisbane and Sidney meets, and was always envious of the good time members enjoyed meeting each other. Well, now I can say that I've had my own BB meeting! Nah! Fang took the bus from her home of Hamilton and met me at the hotel. We walked down to the harbor and had lunch at a restaurant overlooking lake Ontario and the Toronto islands. When we finally left the restaurant, it was past 6 pm! We talked about books, the board, those weird Australians <img src="> and other stuff for the better part of six hours. We walked some more and I eventually left Fang at the bus station around 8 pm. Went back to my hotel to change as it was getting a little chilly, and went down to the harbor again to look at the sunset and get some dinner. All in all, it was a very pleasant day, in the company of a good friend. <img src=">
