It has been my observation over the past few years that the ability to write is a skill that may be used for both good and evil. As such, I have written many, (far too) many parody or otherwise obscurely-themed songs. Here's one called Smiting, based on Camptown Races (the song Foghorn Leghorn hums). Brings back memories....
Smiting evil all day long, doo-dah, doo-dah
Smiting while we sing this song, oh, doo-dah day
We smote upon the left
Smote upon the right
Smote until the ground was full, all day and night
Smiting evil can be fun, doo-dah, doo-dah
Using honour great or none, oh, doo-dah day
We smote upon the front
Smote upon the rear
Accidentally smote my friends, oh, d-d-dear
Smiting thee with magic spells, doo-dah, doo-dah
Smiting thee to seven hells, oh, doo-dah day
Thine toes are turning blue
Hair has caught aflame
Arms are in another room, and your legs are lame
Smiting people like a loon, doo-dah, doo-dah
Smiting under sun and moon, oh, doo-dah day
We smite them who do bad
Smite them who do good
Smite the guys who don't do s***, just because we could
Smiting in a spiteful mood, doo-dah, doo-dah
I suggest ye hie thee dude, oh, doo-dah day
Ye smite them with a sword
Smite until they run
Then thee smites them with a bow, one by one by one
Dragons are so hard to smite, doo-dah, doo-dah
For they can yourself ignite, oh, doo-dah day
Ye smite them from afar
For the dragon fear
Causes thee to smite thyself, whe'er you’re there or here
Smiting madly underground, doo-dah, doo-dah
Smiting not by sight but sound, oh, doo-dah day
Who needs a pesky torch
Ye could have a blade
Sure ye couldn’t see much good, and you’d be quite slayed...
For if ye should be smit
Keep thee to this line
Smiting's hard but get some ice; use it, you'll be fine
