Mine would be Boromir from Lord of the Rings. I loved him from my first reading back in college. Why? Because I instantly associated with him. A good guy... but oh, the temptation of the ring... I knew if I were in his position, it would affect me the same way. Something about those very human flaws in someone who is almost a hero just got me. (And then the movie comes out, and they pick one of my absolutely favorite actors Sean Bean to play him... and I'm in heaven... sigh.)

I like you think Sean Bean is great.

Also from LOTR way abck when Boromir was my fave character too... I was hoping Sean would play Faramir in the movie... but guess it would have confused the audience too much.

In the movie Legolas is my fave.. boy that elf can fight and not a hair or chunk of make-up out of place.

I think the grey mouser is my fave character by the way.

Everything you say about Thomas Covenant is correct. ( I can't believe I said that).

Thats why I like his characterisation - he is real with real flaws. Not some perfect hero with a few minor flaws to make themselves look human.

My heart - Fitz

My spirit - Cloot

Fantasy character that I tried to hate but just couldn't - Brandon...

Female idol - (more sci fi) - Morn from The Gap series

See Obelixx agrees with me. Well not about Thomas Covenant personally. In fact not about anything at all.

So just forget I made this post OK.

DN Are you sure? Also remeber you must be wrong you are a guy.

If you are a guy alone in the amazon rainforest and there is no one there to hear it... and you speak... are you still wrong?

Squire James from Fiest.

I loved that guy. When he died ... it was a very sad day.
