Is this this a completely new book or the one you sent to Edit or Die redrafted to take account of their comments?

Congratulations Lisa that is great news. It must give you a great sense of satisfaction to complete a work.

The other day I found myself about to start mine but luckily I caught myself in time and was able to overcome the urge ( no sense in wasting all those years of procrastination after all).

Thanks guys. It really does give you a sense of accomplishment.

Jacko... nah, this is a different. I decided to work on this story and let the other one rest a bit. I did, however, try to incorporate EoD's more generalised suggestions about pacing and plot into this one.

BH... go for it! There's nothing quite like finishing that monster novel and then realising that you have yet to get it crited and (possibly but hopefully not) majorily rewritten.

Slatz... dare I say, if I can do it, anyone can.

No wonder you've been quiet! I have no emoticons at my command otherwise I would plaster the board with them. Stupendous congratulations! This is it! This is the major milestone. And the first of our writers at the BB to achieve one of the New Year Resolutions.

Well done, Lisa. I know everyone is excited for you and I feel enormously proud of you if I may. You have real grit and now I hope you will let that ms cure for a little while and then go back to it and do your own personal edit. Fantastic word count. 150,000 is normally perfect but you've given your editor lots of room to play (grin).

Keep gloating. F

Great job, Lisa! I'm very proud of you. I hope you took the time to relax and truly enjoy it. Go out for a nice dinner, share some wine with close friends, and soak in the accomplishment. Or you could (insert favorite celebratory ritual here).

Keep it up!

Brad.

Lisa

I know how much hard work goes into 170,000 words. I have read some of your writing and know you will be published.

You should be proud of what you have done.

I want to buy a copy.

This is best news I have had this year so far.

You go girl.

Thanks guys.

I was kinda :dance at first, then sorta :crazy at myself for feeling :dance . Now I'm just kinda (insert FLAT icon). There is an analogy for what I'm feeling, but I don't think I should mention it here... although Crusie can probably guess what I mean. :b

Steve, I will sell you a copy (on disk) for ten bucks. <img src=">

Just as a side note here, in going back over the extra goodies EoD sent back with my other assessment, there is a fantastic example synopsis, clearly laying out what needs to be said and how. I used it as a template to write one this morning for this novel and it is faaaaaaaaar better than the one I wrote for the other story that got assessed. If anyone's having trouble writing their synopsis, I would highly recommend emailing EoD and asking if she will send you a copy of this one.

Yup. Wrote a synopsis the other day. Around 550 words. It too is now going to cure until I decide to go back to the book and see what needs to be done to it.
