I was crossing at the lights today when I thought of a great title for a book. (I thought all this up in about 5minutes, so it's alright, I think) lol ">

Title: And the Traffic Lights turned red

Setting: Modern day. A teenage girl been through some trauma (i.e death of sister/brother/parent/friend, been raped, something terrible happen.) And she's just waiting for lifes set of traffic lights to turn red.


lol, I thought it was alright. I mean, it probably won't turn into anything, but just thought that I'd share what I thought up.

what about the person killed in the car crash at the traffic lights.. they ran a red light...stupid boy thing to do...

then lights have meanings... she starts on green... full ahead... slows down.... amber and recalls death... on red...

Sounds interesting, Satine.

For me, the title gives the impression that the tragedy has made the lights turn red, and working through her troubles is how she gets them to turn green again... Just my thought.

I had a similar experience. The words 'a feast for kings' just popped into my head one day, and about a minute later, I had a story idea.
