Echoing everyone's wishes. Just keep writing everyday - it is surprising how quickly, with a disciplined routine, your ms will come together. Then let it fester for as long as you can bear. Sara Douglass recommends six months!

Six months?!? Urgh. That would be hard to do, indeed. Is that so it will seem "new" when you get back to it and you'll be able to revise it better? More objectively?

Congrats! Good onya.
I don't think anyone stops learning about writting... Just like we don't stop learning about ourselves and what is writting but an extention of yourself?
I wish I could say the same thing... that I had written something lately... but I can't. I haven't written in over two weeks. Haven't had the time nor the inclination to make the time. What can I say, it comes and goes...

Good job! Yes, ends of chapters are quite gratifying. How close are you to the end?
Keep writing!

Yes, you are right it is to give it a fresh look. I have heard this advice over and over... but no way could I just ignore it.. I would have to tamper with it somehow.
Good luck on your MS Brad
I have read lots of your stuff at OWW and must say... I am more than impressed... I would buy your stuff so I hope you get it published.
Cheers

Thanks for the kind words, Steve. Really. It's heartening.
This is an awfully interesting field, though. I never realized before I began this journey how many layers upon layers there are to writing. It's interesting as hell, I think, and I love learning a new aspect that I can put into use.
BTW, I couldn't leave it alone, either. Leave my brand new baby to starve and fight the wilds on its own? Never!
Just kidding. The advice seems to make sense, and certainly, you will start to see things that you can't possible see when you're a few days or even weeks away from it.
Brad.
