Well, Fiona, you will be pleased to know that I am about half way through book one, have knocked out about 9000 words and am tightening this sucker up real good!

Man, I shoulda done this ages ago! It feels good to go back and fix up the bits that I didn't quite like the first time round and knowing now how it ends exactly, I can make a few adjustments here and there, mainly getting rid of small side tangents that didn't end up going anywhere.

WHOO HOO!!!!!

That's the best news I've had in days! Fantastic...really. Get this beast ready and get it away to someone to take a look at. One of the best pieces of advice Sara ever gave me was to let the ms cure for about six months. You've been able to do that without really thinking which is so valuable because you are looking at this story with keen, fresh eyes and it will be SOOOOO much better for your editing now. Set yourself a deadline to have it ready - pressure works and you might as well get used to it for when you are published. :b

You're a meany, Fiona. You're not supposed to scare me with stories about pressure!!

Ugh, I'm so excited doing this that I can't wait to hit book two... and having just watched Tomb Raider, my head is spinning with nifty little things to do in book three.... argh!! I wish there was about four of me, to do all the things I want to do all at once...

Hmm... maybe I can get a deal like Isobelle Carmody... she doesn't seem to be under much pressure to get books out in a decent amount of time. Keeps us poor suckers waiting....

Either that, or get a dozen books written first, then only have to polish them up before publishing... yeah....
