Why has the Edit function become so user-unfriendly ?

When you edit a post, it becomes a solid block of words. Whatshappenin dudes ???

Thank you in anticipation. :pimp

This is a post on Other Reads...or at least, this is what it looks like when I go in to try and edit it.

This is what I meant to post...but I pressed the wrong button, lost it all, and didn't have the heart to redo at thre time. Sabriel & Lirael, the first two books in Garth Nix's four book series. (So far.) Good read. Great matching of style to story. And an almost totally original version of the After-Life. (There was just a taste of Le Guin's Earthsea...but that might just be me.) http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/n/garth-nix/ The Knight by Gene Wolfe, the first book in whatever it ends up as. I've always liked this dude. He rarely disappoints. (Only once.) Ever wanted to know where the Realms of the Gods actually be..this book tells you. A very good Fantasy read. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/w/gene-wolfe/knight.htm Odinn's Child by Tim Severin, the first book in an Historical Fiction trilogy. Without doubt, the best book on Vikings that I've ever read, Can't wait to get hold of the other two books. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/s/tim-severin/odinns-child.htm Trench by Steve Alten {Jurassic Shark. What can I say?) The High Crusade by Poul Anderson (I read it at least once a year.) A Whiff of Death, The Stars Like Dust & Murder at the ABA by Asimov Day of the Triffids by Wyndham...because...I found a sequel, Night of the Triffids by Simon Clark. Clark 'aint Wyndham. Other than for curiosity, don't waste your sheckels. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/simon-clark/night-of-triffids.htm Magician, Silverthorn & Darkness at Sethanon, the first three books in Feist's Riftwar collection. (Collection seems a much better term than series for the way Feist does stuff.) It really doesn't get much better than this. I know people like to split pubics about 2 & 3 not being quite as good as the first...but this is about as excellent and epic as you can expect Fantasy to be. The Jade Demons Quartet by Robert E.Vardeman. (There are four books, and they all have names, but I have this huge omnibus-thing.) Vardeman is an old-fashioned, politically incorect, "Conan be the man!" kinda dude. Great stuff. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/v/robert-e-vardeman/ Piers Anthony's Battle Circle trilogy. The blokes written a squillion a books, (144 at last count,) and he's another author who rarely disappoints...and this trilogy is the best thing he's ever done. What more can I say? The entire Narnia series. (About two hours a book...no biggy.) I'm pretty sure there were some others that I've put back on the shelves...but I just can't remember them. Adios :pimp

Thanks :pimp

Just happened to me.  After editing a long post, the result was that all the original paragraph spacing disappeared.  Had to go back and re-edit to recover the correct format.  No biggie, but thought you ought to know

Firefox = an alternate browser, there are a number of good ones out there.

Re: jumbled text upon entering edit.  Yup, Dn and Terame, still does it.
