I'm a 15 year old and I love to write stories. I used to write stories that were of other books I've read. I know thats not exactly the right thing to do but its the only thing that i can do when writing storys. I wouls like some help on writing a story that doesn't contain charactors, scenes, plots and Place names. , I wrota a short Story whit Wyl as one of the characters because i thought he was a cool character from Fiona's books, but I don't want to use other people's Ideas and names. So please someone help me get started on a new story of my own where i dont use to many characters from other books and writers.

Jessy Daniels.

Hi Jessy, welcome to the forum. I've read some of your posts and you do seem to be an avid reader. I share your feeling about some of Fiona's gratuitous bloodletting, but I enjoy her books non the less. As the help your asking for is not of a technical nature, the place for this question in the Scribes Corner . Look under the Special Interest Forums and you'll find it there. I'm sure you'll find other forum members who can help you. My own suggestion is to look around you; pick names and character traits from people you know, and then drop them into a fantasy world and see what they do. You are allowed to embellish. As I mentioned earlier, repost this in the Scribes Corner for more help. Good luck with your writing. Phil

Sorry to ask I know I should know but what does Avid mean? I injoy the books but I still think there is to much blood shed. The second book is a bit better then the first book from the Quickening series. I think it would be cool for a boy to be in a girls body... they would learn how us girls feel when guys do those mean things to us. But I felt sorry for him when Faryl gets raped. If Fiona was to write more books like these it would be nice if she didn't put so much blood shed in them. Thanks for the Information on where I should put my plee for help on writing. Jessy

Hi Jessy, Phil put it best when he said Scribes Corner is the place to go. That's where the writers get together and talk about writing issues, etc. I'd also strongly recommend you look at local real world writing groups - working in conjunction, you will soon find that you're writing up a veritable storm of words :) P.S. If you don't like bloodshed, I should warn you that Fiona has a penchant for horrific scenes... so much so that they are almost a signature for her works so far
