Hello South Australians
As you might have seen I am the Bg Book Club author for Jan 2006 and the promoters are using Odalisque as the main platform for the series of events around the State that kick off from Jan 22.
If any of you can come along to any of the events - Burnside Library, West Torrens Library, Seaford Library, Marion Library, Kangaroo Island even!...then it would be fun to see you and of course sign any of your books.
I believe The Advertiser will publish a full listing of where I'm going to appearing and when.
Hope to see a few of you. F

Hi Fiona - how did you enjoy your Bigbookclub visits. Were the bushfires already ablaze when you travelled to Kangaroo Island? Hope all is well... see you at the next FAB bookclub in Feb

Yes, Island Beach on KI was ablaze, as I coughed through the smoke and presented at a luncheon in Kingscote! Several people couldn't come because they were trying to save their homes. A great gang nonetheless.
The whole week was frantic but fabulous. So much adrenalin pumped into my system so I could perform well for the audiences. The Marion and Burnside ones were brilliant - so many turned up and the audiences were right into having a good giggle at all my silly anecdotes. The opening talk at West Torrens was terrific too - so many people came along on such a hot day (42 degrees) and we had a lot of fun as Samela Harris and I sat on sofas and chatted the afternoon away.
...and lots of books sold to new readers who have never tried fantasy before...so the conversion has begun - hooray!
