...this is about getting suggestions to improve the forums (BB). If there is something you feel would add to the enjoyment of others, or simply make life easier - please suggest it.

If there is something you feel the Forums need YESTERDAY, please suggest it.

All suggestions will have to go via the Big Boss Lady, but we can't improve things if we don't know your great idea. Lastly please bare in mind that changing a program is not generally easy or quick. There are thousands of hours invested in the software here to ensure it stays up and serves to promote Fiona's books so everyone else can enjoy the work of one of the world's best fantasy authors the way we do. So please don't think that just because we don't act on your idea that day, that week or that month, that we're ignoring you ,)

The title on the top of the forum: It is way too dark for the forum, perhaps lighten a little, so full title can be seen. Cheers, Wmc

Your point about the header is quite valid.

You do need to consider the Boss Lady on this one though... The "Fiona McIntosh" (header) is best viewed on Fiona's native computer system... [b]Mac[/b]

The original concept was even [b]darker[/b] and spooky on a Mac, so it nearly went ahead. This one was actually compromise. Trust me, you would be squinting your eyes tighter than a possum at midday trying to read [i]that[/i] one

[b][i]Why is this so?[/i][/b] Macs display brighter, sharper images in their native settings than the garden variety PC. This means that shades of black can look positively charcoal and 'slapped on'

Hi Terame, this is just a suggestion but what about have a new post button - one that you push when you first log in and then you can view really quicker, which posts have been replied to since your last visit. Ailsa

Hi Alisa, that's a great suggestion! We actually have a notification system in the user control panel of the new software (you can see [l=http://fionamcintosh.fantasyscifi.com/base/forum/page.php?module=FORUM&page=topic&forum=25&topic=2189]progress here[/l] and I am updating it [b]tonight[/b]), there you can set your 'watch list' so you can be notified when there are replies to threads you are watching or whole sections: e.g. You get a message flash at the top when you log in or an email to tell you when there is ANY activity in the Quickening Forum if you have it in your 'watch list' It's not the same as what you're after, but similar, but I will still see if it's possible to add your suggestion to their work-list Trent :y
