Yes Alisa, It's in the continental United States. We can call it the "lower 48", which excludes Hawaii and Alaska. By the way, it's the world's biggest of what it is on the biggest *** in the world.

Yes Alisa, it is Stone Mountain!!

The sculpture portraying Gen. Robert E Lee, Gen "Stonewall" Jackson and Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederacy during the American Civil War, is the largest bas-relief sculpture in the world. St
one Mountain is the largest granite monolith in the world and is almost as big as Ayers Rock, which is sandstone.
NOW, Heads Up...here's a follow-up.
The sculptor who started the Stone Mountain work went on to create a much more famous work, known world-wide. That other work was a star in the Alfred Hitchcock movie North by Northwest starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. What's the work and where in the USA is it?
For extra credit, post a picture of it.

Jeeze kids; no takers eh??
It's Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.. It consists of the sculptures of four US Presidents, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and T. Roosevelt. Each head is about 60' (18.3 m) tall.

Here's a shot of Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint during the final climactic scene. If you haven't seen the movie, it's one of Alfred Hitchcock's best!! Highly recommended.
