Hi, I dont really no your opinion of wikipedia but ive come here to ask a couple of questions.

Number one, id would like to make a page on wikipedia for each of your books, but to make a decent page i need a plot summary (something not to detailed and long, but long enough to not be classed as a synopsis), i would write a summary myself but my writing skills are pretty poor (i couldnt even pass year 12 english). So ive come here to ask if anyone would be able to write a plot summary for me so i can create the pages.

Wikipedia is a very busy site and i think it could prove benificial to have a good page for each book.

Also, when is Goddess out in mass market paperback?

Thanks, Salavat

If you are not sure what im rambling on about, here's an example of a good novel article on wikipedia "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_of_the_Plains", a plot summary around that length would be great if anyone is interested in taking up this request, Thanks Salavat

Salavat, I think you're wonderful, thank you for your idea.  It's never occurred to me to have a page at Wikipedia!

Of course I'm keen to help but writing about myself is not my bag so perhaps someone at the board would like to help you prepare this info.  Any aspiring writer out there will find this a very worthwhile exercise to write out some plot summaries.  Someone like Kikiswriting might be a good person to start with?  Kiki knows all the books backwards - might be worth leaving her a message and asking if she'll partner up?  Otherwise there may well be other members who will take up the challenge but keep me posted and I'll help wherever I can.

Goddess is due out in mass market around August I think.  I'll find out.

Thanks again Salavat.  Talk soon - F

Oh, sorry forgot to mention, i need the first edition cover (trade paperback of where ever it was published first, im assuming australia). But without the plot summary i wont make the page, so come fans of Fiona McIntosh, pick up your pens, or keyboard, and write a plot summary for one of Fiona's books.

Thanks, Salavat

I might b a bit hectic with uni but I'd love to write a summary - it would b a nice sort of therapy :) I'll do one for Myrren's Gift as I just read it a second time the other week. I'll try and get it to you by the weekend.

Clove.

Look if your busy at uni dont rush yourself, all of the books need a plot summary, except maybe Betrayal but even thats not that great.

Myrren's Gift or Odalisque, you choose. I only did a mock up of Odalisque to get the ball rolling. yeh so no rush

All in all, thanks for your interest, either post it here when your finished or email it to me at: collins411@hotmail.com

Thanks, Salavat

Hey, does anyone have any knowledge of when and where Fiona's books are published around the world.

Also Fiona, were all your books published in Australia first?

Thanks, Salavat

Hi Salavat Yes, all books are published first in Australia. The next series, Valisar, is the closest we'll come to a synchronised worldwide release across English-speaking markets with it released in September and October in Australia and UK. Normally I'm a Christmas release but Aust has brought forward to fall in line with UK. Finding out the actual release dates of all the books is a big job. It will take some time. Australia Trinity began in August 2001 and then in Feb and August 2002 Quickening began in March 2003, September and March 2004 Percheron ran December 2005, 2006, 2007 Valisar will be September 2008, 2009, 2010 The Whisperer will release July 2009 I will not include any other genres here, unless you want those?

Update:

so far: 4 novels now have their own page

Betrayel - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betrayal_%28Fiona_McIntosh_novel%29

Myrren's Gift - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrren%27s_Gift

Bridge of Souls - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrren%27s_Gift

Odalisque - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odalisque_%28novel%29

Betrayel does have a plot summary written for it, but i think its a bit long and a new one would be good, the rest all need a plot summary. Ive touched up the infomational boxes on the sides of the page but i dont know who the cover artist is for the original covers of the Trinity series is (ive only got the republished copies), does anyone own the original set, would be great if you could look under the cover and find out for me.

Thanks, Salavat

Hello Salavat!

With some friends we began to create pages on the french wikipedia. I wanted to know if you mind if we take some of your work to translate in french and put it on the french pages?

Because I think it's better if the readers have the same sort of informations on the english and french pages, but if you don't want, I understand, and we'll write our own summaries and etc.

Excuse me for my poor english, we french aren't so good at foreign languages!

You are quite welcome to take it, any thing on wikipedia is free. but there isnt much to take as of yet. But once the plot summaries have been writtin there should be something worth copying over.

Thanks, Salavat
