Hi im just reading the trilogy for the second time and I'm a bit confused over the timings in it. I understand that time accelerates in Lauryn's world that she grows up in, but i didn't think it does for different people in Tallinor.

Tor was about 15 or so when he left home for the first time....and i think Valentyna was about the same age, maybe younger. So if Tor and Valentyna were about 15 (maybe younger for Valentyna) when Tor met Locky...who was then 8. How is it that when Tor meets Locky again in Revenge, Locky is 13, but Valentyna is 24?.....

Please could someone who understands my waffle help me?

Kezzaroonie, hi....Valentyna is in The Quickening rather than Trinity. Are you confusing the stories or do you definitely mean Alyssa? I have to admit to you I can't work that all out off the top of my head. I know you might think I should know the story intimately but I wrote it eight years ago and I haven't read it since I last proofed it for publication in Australia back in 2001 so the detail is a blur. Perhaps one of the other members who is closer to the series i.e. reading it also at the same time as you, can help? If you find errors, email me and I will thank you soundly and have them fixed immediately for the next print run. Thanks Kezza - look forward to hearing. F

Hi fiona, sorry i did mean Alyssa....you can probably tell i love the Quickening too!! ....i wasn't confusing stories....but i'll double check the books again to check im not going mad.....thanks for your post though!!! xxx
