Endeavor is due to launch in just over 4 hours from now (06:28 GMT) Tuesday morning.  I'll definitely watch it; night launches are spectacular.  I'm considering driving over to the coast, about 30 miles from my house, to get a better view.  That would be a long night, though, because the launch is due at 02:28 AM local time.  With traffic, I won't have my head on my pillow 'til about 4 o'clock in the morning.  May just be a little too late.  If I get any pics, I'll post them.

Just got back; it's 05:30 AM local time.  It took me FOUR hours to get home due to traffic.  And, due to low hanging clouds, the shuttle was visible for only 15 or 20 seconds before becoming obscured.  Got a couple of pics which I'll post later today.........when I wake up!!  Nity nite!!

Ah, what the heck...  Rocket exhaust so bright, it washes out any shuttle detail.  Third picture is blurry, because brightness was way down resulting in much slower shutter speed...and I was hand holding the camera.  Took me a few minutes to find a good size that I could upload.  Enjoy.  Now it's 06:11 AM; no sleep in ~24 hours.  Good Night.

I wish.  I woke up at ~10 AM; less than 4 hours of sleep.  Oh well, maybe I'll take a nap later.  Glad you liked the pictures.

Endeavor just landed; my house is right on the flight path for the shuttle when it lands in Florida, and I always know when it's overhead by the two sonic booms that shake the house and rattle the windows!.
