Evening all! I managed to move forward over the long weekend (yes - SA has a long weekend for a horse race that doesn't stop the nation) and totalled about 3,000 for the last week, which is not too bad for me. My main character still doesn't have a gift; he solves his problems by running as fast as he can. Pretty funny really. Maybe his gift is for doing the 1 mile sprint in under 1 minute. :) Hope your writing week has been rewarding. Mdx

Merryd I had a little smile at your main character's gift. I don't know why, it just appealed somehow.

Well, as unfriendly as me and warm weather tend to be I've also made headway. Perhaps it's that the end is in sight. Who knows. Whatever it is, I'm glad of it and making hay while the sun is shining. And boy how it's shining. It's times like this I really miss our old place and its ducted air conditioning. What's a little heat stroke between friends though, right?

It's awfully hot here, isn't it Marelle? Our ducted is absolute bliss - and it's surprisingly conducive to writing because we don't go anywhere when it's this hot. So I'm glued to my seat. Although, my usual stints to Cibos have been curtailed because of the heat. Marelle, it must be fantastic to be seeing light at the end of the tunnel (as long as it's not a train coming - hee hee). Congrats for getting to where you are. Soon we'll all be seeing a fantastic brand new Adelaide fantasy writer. Mdx

Aww Merryd. I'm so jealous of your ducted. We've just got this ancient thing in our living room which I'm pretty sure is older than I am. Since that's where the other half's computer lives, I've hijacked his for however long it takes for the heat to pass.

That light is such a relief, although I'll admit I do listen out for the tell-tale sounds of an oncoming train. Thanks for the encouragement too.

Trouble with the heat, huh?  You guys can always share in some of our fine Minnesota weather these days.  Just think, last weekend it was -5 degrees, and just two weeks ago it was a balmy -45.  Today was a bit nicer at 50 but we should be dropping back into the teens and lower single digits again next week.  I'll gladly share with you fine folks.
