Good choice Bats.  Put the pets out to forage, park SO in the shade outside to drink in fresh air and rain, and read, read, and read somemore!!  Washing? Ironing? Don't need clothes if you stay inside!

I've always said - if it needs ironing, it shouldn't have been bought in the first place!

Also, you just can't beat an axolotl for a low maintenance pet.  Ok, you can't cuddle it, but it only eats once a day and if the tank hasn't been cleaned in a while, it has a pair of lungs and can breathe air.

Merryd, I just fed my pet for the first time in two months.  I had his food, he just wasn't interested.  O Yeah, he's a 1.6 meter Ball Python and his food was a rat.  My daughter gave him to me for Father's Day in 1991.  "Why," you ask ",did she give me a snake?"  I asked her that very question and she replied that she always thought I wanted one!  Monty's pretty much a zero maintenance pet; the only lower maintenance critter would be a pet rock.  I don't know which one would be more active.
